Cookie Policy

Last updated August 30, 2026 - Version 1.1

1. What This Policy Covers

This Cookie Policy explains how Zebra Herd, Inc. (“Zebra Herd” or “ZebraHerd,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website at https://www.zebraherd.com, use our mobile application (ZebraHerd), or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”). At launch, the ZebraHerd mobile app is the primary way to use the Services; our website currently provides marketing pages, account sign-in, and access to our policies. In the app, the technologies described here are primarily SDKs and device identifiers rather than browser cookies.

This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes more broadly how we process your personal information, and our Terms of Service, into which this Policy is incorporated by reference. As set out in our Terms of Service, the Services are intended only for users 18 years of age or older, and are offered to users located in the United States.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

In Short: Cookies are small data files placed on your device. Apps use similar technologies, like SDKs and device identifiers.

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit. They allow the site to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and understand how you use the site. Cookies set by us are “first-party cookies”; cookies set by other companies providing services on our behalf (such as analytics or advertising) are “third-party cookies.”

We also use technologies that work like cookies, including: local storage (data stored in your browser) and — in our mobile app — software development kits (“SDKs”) and mobile identifiers (such as your device's advertising identifier). Where this Policy refers to “cookies,” it includes these similar technologies.

3. What Cookies and Technologies We Use

In Short: We use essential, functional, analytics, and advertising technologies. The table below summarizes each category.

CategoryWhat it doesExamples on our ServicesCan you turn it off?
EssentialRequired for the Services to function — login and session security, fraud prevention, load balancing, remembering your consent choices.Authentication tokens; security cookies; consent-preference storage. No — the Services do not work without these.
FunctionalRemembers your choices and preferences to improve your experience.Favorite team selections; display preferences; language/region settings.Yes — but some features may not work as intended.
Analytics & performanceHelps us understand how the Services are used, diagnose crashes, and improve the product. Our own in-app product analytics (event and screen-view records); crash and diagnostic reporting.Yes — see Section 5.
Advertising / targetingUsed by us and our third-party ad partners to deliver and measure ads, including ads tailored to your interests.Mobile advertising SDK and advertising identifiers. You cannot turn off ads, but you can turn off ad personalization — see Sections 5 and 6. You will still see the same number of ads; they will not be tailored using your information.

Analytics. Our product analytics are first-party: event and screen-view records are collected by us and stored in our own systems, not by a third-party analytics network. Crash and diagnostic reporting is provided by a service provider acting on our instructions, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can turn off product analytics at any time in your account settings (“Product Analytics”).

Advertising status. The Services include third-party advertising, delivered in the app through a mobile advertising SDK. We and our advertising partners use it to deliver and measure ads, including personalized ads, as also described in our Privacy Policy. You can control ad personalization at any time as described in Sections 5 and 6 — turning it off does not remove ads.

4. Why We Use These Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to: (a) operate and secure the Services, including keeping you logged in and preventing fraud and abuse; (b) remember your preferences, such as your favorite teams; (c) understand how the Services are used so we can fix bugs, prevent crashes, and improve features; and (d) deliver and measure advertising, including advertising tailored to your interests.

5. Your Choices: How to Control Cookies

In Short: You can control these technologies through your ZebraHerd account settings, your browser and device settings, and industry opt-out tools. Blocking some technologies may affect how the Services work. Turning off ad personalization does not reduce or remove the ads you see.

  • In-app privacy controls. Your ZebraHerd account settings include toggles for “Product Analytics,” “Personalized Ads,” “Non-Personalized Ads,” and “Betting Ads.” These are the primary controls for the app. Turning off “Personalized Ads” stops ads from being tailored using your information; you will still see ads.
  • Browser settings. Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. You can usually set your browser to remove or reject cookies. If you do, some parts of the Services may not function properly.
  • Mobile device settings. Your device settings let you limit ad tracking or reset your advertising identifier (for example, “Allow Apps to Request to Track” on iOS and “Delete advertising ID” on Android).
  • Industry opt-out tools. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at https://optout.networkadvertising.org/ and, for mobile, https://www.networkadvertising.org/mobile-choice.
  • Consent tools. We do not currently display a cookie consent banner on our website; the in-app controls described above are the primary way to manage non-essential technologies.

6. US State Privacy Rights ("Sale" / "Sharing" Opt-Out)

To the extent our use of tracking technologies is considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (including for targeted advertising) under applicable US state privacy laws, you can opt out at any time using the “Personalized Ads” toggle in your ZebraHerd account settings, or by submitting a request as described in the section “Do United States Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?” of our Privacy Policy. Opting out limits targeted (interest-based) advertising; it does not turn off advertising on the Services, and you may continue to see non-personalized ads.

7. Do-Not-Track

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized, and we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. We honor the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising for that browser. You can also use the controls described in Section 5.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the technologies we use or for legal and regulatory reasons. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
